Provide accurate and timely Commercial Finance support to key stakeholders within EMEIA, supporting the Senior Finance Manager with analysis on various projects including Budget, Forecast and Actuals reporting. We are looking for an experienced individual with a specific commercial focus to help deepen our understanding of Burberry’s Wholesale & Franchise business, taking ownership of the full P&L and driving improved performance of the business area.


Spend tracking:

  • Support the Partnership and Costs team to develop and roll out spend tracking to the EMEIA Marketing team (Fashion and Beauty)
  • Update trackers on a monthly basis to reflect actuals and distribute to Marketing team
  • Identify costs that are being coded incorrectly and work with team to correct going forward

Key Beauty distributor invoice analysis:

  • Distribute a weekly report on status of key Beauty distributors of their Payables and Receivables balances
  • Highlight any issues or risks with payments (linking with Accounts Payable team and Marketing PO raisers), proactively following up with business and distributors on any questions
  • Review monthly staffing invoices to ensure Burberry are being charged the correct costs

Month End:

  • Completing supporting detailed reporting data to feed into the Marketing Finance Analyst to issue monthly cost report
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations

Ad Hoc:

  • Reconciling Marketing Outlet contractuals
  • Dealing with customer queries with wholesale marketing spend
  • Support the raising of Beauty and Wholesale credit notes
  • Supporting all members of the team

Personal Profile

  • High Calibre recent graduate or seeking placement experience (as part of degree)
  • Previous intern / work experience in a corporate environment
  • Basic Excel skills required
  • Good team player with ability to prioritise and have attention to detail
  • Hard working, conscientious and willing to learn
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – written and oral
  • Self-motivated; adaptable; able to work in fast-paced, changeable environment; solution-driven.
  • Career Driven with the aspiration to work in a successful Finance team
