Responsibilities:

This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate to join Mott MacDonald as an socio-economics researcher. You will have a diverse range of responsibilities including:
– Support project managers in drafting and editing of project reports;
– Support bid managers in drafting qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and collating bid documentation;
– Undertake in-depth literature/policy reviews and analyse findings in a concise and consumable way;
– Support project managers in undertaking consultations with high-level and senior stakeholders;
– Undertake focus groups and workshops;
– Learn the quality, environment and safety requirements of projects and develop project management skills;
– Liaise confidently with external clients and colleagues across Mott MacDonald.

Requirements:

To apply you will need to be studying or graduated in Economics, History, Politics or another writing/research based degree. You will have excellent writing and numeric skills and experience of report writing, literature review and economic/social research . You will have excellent inter-personal skills and an aptitude for meeting task and reporting deadlines.

Desirable competences and qualifications:
– Masters degree in one of the relevant subject areas
– Experience of engaging with stakeholders
– Experience of conducting focus groups
– Project management experience
– Knowledge and experience of equalities issues and legislation
– Knowledge and experience of transport policy issues
